Eiji Nishihata

Hi! I’m going to be 70 this August, but young, energetic and enthusiastic enough to be a guide. (I’m still a novice guide).

I was born and brought up in Nakahechi , the gateway to the three Grand Shrines of Kumano.

I’m familiar with every corner of this area and proud of its long and colorful history..

I’d like to share with people around the world the unique aspects that have made this area the World Heritage Site.

I live in Kushimoto, one hour and half drive from Tanabe city.

Oshima island in Kushimoto is the first birthplace of the friendship between Turkey and Japan started 120 years ago.

I also would like to show you around Kushimoto.

I sincerely hope that you will enjoy walking with me.
