This was the first time for our guests to visit the Kumano Kodo.
We started walking from Hossinmon Oji.
We showed them how to purify themselves by washing their hands in the washing basin before entering the shrine.
Our guests were very interested in learning how to do this and the way Japanese pray at the shrine.
Our guests took many pictures of the mountains, trees, flowers, a lot of the area’s beautiful scenery.
We also took a short “forest bath” by lying down on a wooden bed in the forest.
We took a rest there, closed our eyes, breathed in the fresh air and were “bathed” in nature.
It was really relaxing.
