Hayabusa satellite on display at Tanabe City Library
(It’s only a model!)
The Japanese satellite Hayabusa, the first satellite to land on an asteroid and return to Earth, is on display at the library. There are also internal components and the re-entry capsule, some not replicas, but photography is forbidden inside that area.
Hayabusa collected samples from the surface of the astroid during a multi-year mission, and returned to Earth despite some serious technical problems.
You can dress up like a real astronaut if you visit!
